Better Watch out Mummy!!!!

Ha!  I am now 7 months old now.  Someone told me about October and I have been preparing Mummy for Halloween by trying to scare the DICKENS out of her with my new phase....TWO LEGGEDNESS!!!!

I was strategic about it though. 

#1.  Instill a premature feeling of insecurity in my Mummy such that she recognizes my lack of fear of falling, rolling off furniture, hitting my head, choking, and pulling heavy things off surfaces.  Done!

#2.  Tease her by scooching myself around the floor and running quickly when assisted....further letting her know I am capable of ANYTHING!

After those phases were complete .....I was REALLY ready to get down to business.  How fun!

This morning I woke Mummy up at 5:45 AM by standing OVER her in her bed and looking down at her.  Hee hee....you should've seen the look of fear in her face!  For once it wasn't my diapers that needed changing!  Then I patted her face with my hand to let her know it wasn't a dream!  That was just for starters.....but it seems I may need more profound planning.

Lately, Mummy's been thinking she has me whooped with this "ferberization" crapola (soothing myself to sleep).  Well, I've had the radish with all that hippy shmippy parenting.  

Tonight, Mummy put my down as usual.  I whined and put on a show for about 3 minutes, as she expected.  THEN.....silence!

I remained silent for 6 whole minutes.  Mommy came into the room to check on me thinking I was asleep.  Little did I know she was ARMED!!!  

Suddenly there was a flash!!!!  

And that's when she took that picture of me up above!

Drats!!!!  Foiled again!

I guess my scare tactics will remain hampered for now.  

However, I did manage a small victory.  Mummy was so freaked out that she and Grammy immediately removed me from the crib, passed me to Grampa, and lowered my mattress EIGHT inches!

HMPH!~

You win this round Mummy, but I'm pretty smart and Halloween isn't here YET!!!!! MWAH HA HA HA HA.........

We're Back!!!!

Mommy and I are back in VT!  THAAAAANK GOODNESS!  

I am so happy to be back.  I get to see my Grampy and Grammy again.  Mommy takes me out to see and play with all of her friends' kids, and everyone at church likes to listen to my new singing voice!  They think it's funny when I sing.  The minister even said so this Sunday.  Everyone giggled at me.  :D

I'm much more verbal in church and I can barely sit still for it.  So, this Sunday I went to Sunday school with Cassie. She's 14 months old.  We are the same size, but she can run, and talk, and eat fancy food!  She's a pretty good influence and her mommy sings BEAUTIFULLY!!! Just like and Angelic Soprano....right next my Grammy and Aunt Cynthia, in the choir.

I have four teeth now.

I caught my first cold and gave it to Mommy and Grampy.  Reverend Batten advised, "Oh Emerson.  SOME things we DON'T share!"  Oopsie!

A few updates.....

....I'm growing up so fast these days.  I thought I would catch you up on my new little victories.

1.  I'm starting to coo using more complex little sounds that almost resemble words......"mummmmm....belumm belumm belumm.....owwww.....hmmmmm.....hiyeeeee.....na....."

2.  I've also started eating some food!  My favorites, in this order, are:

Formula

Rice Meal

Pears

Peaches

Apples

Carrots

Lemon

Bananas

Mommy says I make terrible faces when I eat, but that doesn't stop me from begging for more.  I tried a small drop of lemon juice today.....apparently my "lemon taste face" still isn't even HALF as hideous as my "banana taste face".

3.  I'm about 95% of the way to being a "self sitter".  I still fall forward and sideways sometimes.

4.  I crawl backwards (pushing off with my arms instead of my legs).

5.  My favorite color is YELLOW.....yellow as in LEMON.....NOT  banana.....

6.  Last, but DEFINITELY not least....

....I have teeth ya'll!!!!

5 Months old Now

....and STILL growing.

My First Beach Day

It was sooooo nice.  Mommy and I went to Maine to visit our Maine Family.  We went to the beach for a few hours.  The beach is super fun.  I loved the sun, but I mostly loved the wind on my face and the sand between my little toes.  I squished the sand all around those little toes of mine!

An Introduction....

....to a very cool thingy-ma-bob!!!!  I didn't know what the heck this thing was, but it looked and TASTED delicious!!!!!  

4 Months old......

....and still growing strong!  I've been keeping mommy really busy this month.  I was Christened on June 15th and I've been learning lots and lots of stuff.

I think I'm starting to grow teeth, I can roll over, I can finally control my head, I'm discovering my voice, I love to laugh, I have my own sense of humor, I can stand on my legs (mommy has to hold me because I have no balance at all) and these things called feet are DELICIOUS.  Piggies MUST be a delicacy eh????

With her limited time, mommy managed to squeak out a video for you all to watch.  Wait until you hear what a great singer I am.....

I'M THREE MONTHS OLD YA'LL!!!!

Yaaaaay!!!  I'm such an old geezer now!  THREE MONTHS OLD!!!!  Wow!  My life has been so full and worldly.  To reflect, I was born, I ate, I slept, I pooped, I peed, I peed, I peed, then I ate, and then I slept some more.  Once upon a time I got some shots!  They were awful!  It was a particularly dark time for me, so I decided to pick myself up by eating something, taking a nap, and then peeing....or was it poop?  Sigh.....

My life has been chalked full of important experiences so far.  It's hard for me to imagine that there could be anything else!  Is there really anything more to life than these things?  

Who knows, but Mommy made a video for you to watch.  I have a new chair that helps me practice working my neck and back muscles.  I also have a new play mat that is very fun and colorful.  Check it out everyone!  I hope you like it!

Happy Birthday Uncle Dave

I made a special and silly silent film for my Uncle Dave.  He turned 30 today....and for you other babies out there....I don't mean DAYS!  Don't worry Auntie Amanda.  Mommy says diapers aren't that expensive if you do a little shopping around.  

Happy Birthday Uncle Dave!  I hope you like your film.

I Had A GREAT Weekend!!!

And its TRUE!!!  I met my Uncle Dave OFFICIALLY for the first time and my Auntie Amanda.  They're the "bees knees" ya'll!  Uncle Dave has silly eyebrows.  He makes them dance like that guy from Star Trek...whatever his name is, it's heller funny yo!  And Auntie Amanda is as sweet as sugar!  I loved hanging out with both of them.

Guess what?  I can also lift my head up 45 degrees while laying on my belly now!  I'm pretty strong ya know....I could prolly beat up Wonder Woman...hey...I prolly AM WONDER WOMAN!!!!  WOOT!~

Dr's Appointment

Hey Guys!  Today was a busy day, but you'll have to watch the video at the end of my blog to see what I did.

Mommy took two photos today that she thinks are especially cute.  Here I am, ready to go to the Dr.'s office.  Don't I look enchanted?

And it's a good thing that Mommy played so much basketball...because thats exactly what she says I remind her of when I sleep like this.  Sometimes I ball right up when I sleep and it's hard to get me to spread out.  TWEET!!!  That's a "carry" mommy....

"30 Minute Meals" Rocks!!!

...moving on....

...I totally found what I want to do when I grow up.  I want to cook!  Rachael Ray and her "30 Minute Meals" are awesome!!  I LOVE her show.  

However, Mommy suits me for now...when I squawk, she gets me a meal in 30 SECONDS....OR I SQUAWK LOUDER!!!  GOT IT FOLKS?!?!!!
